We sailboaters have had an AMAZING fun filled 2025 season with many exciting SIYC cruises and events including the Blessing of the Fleet in May, Sailing to Veras in June, Cruise to Corinthian Yacht Club in July, Cruise to SIYC in August; Ted Evans Poker Run, Combo Cruise/Sail to Knapps Narrows and San Domingo Creek (St Michaels) in September, and the Holiday Boat Parade. We appreciate all the support we received from sailboaters and from our friends in motorboats. Everyone had a great time!!

Anytime Impromptu Sailboat Raft ups – Butch Garren
Past attempts at sailboat raft ups have failed due to weather. The new approach will be to monitor ten-day weather forecasts, find a window of opportunity and schedule an event. There will be short notice because of this method but most sail boaters are well prepared and can make quick decisions. Some at SMSA have mentioned a joint raft-up and we can most certainly consider that. Typically, a raft up may include a gathering of boats for lunch or an early evening meal, for a couple of hours, while being lashed together. Good weather, good boats, good food and fantastic
people. What more can you ask for?
